On Wednesday, July 17th, I held several meetings with journalists and some government officials to discuss the situation of journalism in the city.

For this purpose, I met with the Speaker of the Duhok Provincial Council, the Journalists Union as well as the Security Media Department.

I also visited the offices of Speda and KNN.

We all agreed to hold a joint meeting with the head of the media office in the city and the relevant parties as soon as possible to have a common understanding on the coverage of the war zones according to journalism law and international standards for coverage of the war zones.
