Metro Center denounces the assault on Diplomatic reporter (Zhilya Ali), who was assaulted by a security force and calls for an investigation to be made into the incident, and the assailants should be brought to justice.

At the night of 21 January 2024, after a press conference by the discontented teachers in Zargata neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah, Zhilya Ali along with her husband were in a car and returned to the conference venue, while the Diplomatic journalist Zhilya Ali was holding a normal conversation with a discontented teacher, Zhilya Ali and her husband were assaulted by a security force.

Zhilya stated to Metro: "when I returned to ask about a teacher who was rumored to have been arrested, a security force assaulted my husband and I” she also added: "following disrespecting us, she also confirmed that the security force grabbed my husband's throat and threatened us to leave the place.”
